Most Rev PETER PAUL YELEZUOME ANGKYIER Chairman Most Rev. Peter Paul Yelezuome Angkyier hails from Monyupeele, Nandom in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He was born on 26th November 1961 in his native village, to Mr. Sylvino Domekyere Angkyier of blessed memory and Victoria Bekpar. He began his elementary education at the St. Anne’s Catholic Primary School, Damongo in September 1970. From 1972 to 1973, he continued his elementary education at Gengenkpe L/A Primary, Nandom and later at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Tamale, from 1973 to 1977. He did his secondary education at St. Charles Minor Seminary/Secondary School from 1977 to 1982 and continued to Tamale Secondary School for his Sixth form studies, from 1982 to 1984. He gained admission into St. Victor’s Major Seminary, Tamale in September 1985 and was ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Tamale on 15th August 1992 together with Very Rev, Eugene Sigme of blessed memory, first Vicar General of the diocese of Yendi at the Our Lady of Annunciation Cathedral Church, Tamale, by Most Rev. Peter Cardinal Porekuu Dery of blessed memory, the then Archbishop of Tamale. His first appointment was to the Martyrs of Uganda Parish, Bole (1992 to 1993). He was next transferred to the then St. Anne’s Parish (now Cathedral) from 1993 to 1994. From January 1995 to July 1996, he worked as chaplain to the English speaking African students of the Archdiocese of Vienna, Austria. From September 1996 to June 2000 he studied at the Institute of Psychology of the The Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome obtaining a Licentiate in clinical psychology and formation work. Returning to Ghana in September 2000, he was appointed lecturer and Spiritual Director of the newly established St Augustine’s Millennium Major Seminary (Philosophicum of the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province) from 2000 to 2003. From June 2002 till February 2009, he was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Damongo. He was the Episcopal Vicar for the Socio-Economic Development of the Diocese (2002 to 2009) and the Administrator of the Diocesan Secretariat (2003 to 2009). Bishop Angkyier before his appointment as the Bishop of the diocese also served as a member of the Priest’s Senate and the Bishop’s College of Consultors (2000 to 2009). Other responsibilities and offices held include: Diocesan Vocations Team Leader, Diocesan Coordinator Department of Pastoral Care; Member of the Ecclesiastical Province Ongoing Formation Team (2002 to 2011); member of the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province-Münster Partnership Committee (2000 to 2008); Priest in charge of the Counseling and Therapy Centre; Diocesan Coordinator of the Family Life Apostolate. Following the movement of the first bishop of the diocese, Most Rev. Philip Naameh to be the Archbishop of Tamale, he was appointed as the new bishop of the diocese of Damongo on the 17th December 2010 by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. He was consecrated on the 25th March 2011 at the St Anne’s Cathedral grounds as the Second Bishop of the Diocese.

Mr. Samuel Zan Akologo holds MA degree in Public Policy, focusing on government and economic reform from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors (FIoD), Ghana and a professional member of community of practitioners of Organizational Development (OD). He is currently executive secretary of caritas Ghana and head of the department of human development of the Ghana catholic bishops’ conference since 2011. Mr. Zan Akologo has been the brain behind and the facilitator of an innovative interfaith platform in Ghana called – Forum for Actions on Inclusion, Transparency and Harmony (FAITH) in Ghana.
He has held member and vice-chair positions of the International Governance Council of Amnesty International from 1997 to 2003. He is currently chair of caritas Africa committee for Institutional Development and Capacity Strengthening (IDCS) and management standards. Mr. Zan Akologo has served and continue to serve on governance boards of many state agencies including Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) and Senior High Schools.

Mr. Terence Ninnang is a highly skilled lawyer with expertise and interest in the Power sector and sustainable energy. He is currently the legal counsel for Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) Tamale and a senior partner of Gbewaa Chambers Limited, Tamale. He has also served as legal counsel for Volta River Authority, Accra and as a Junior Associate of DERY & Co, Accra. He is the Legal advisor and secretary to the Audit Committee of NEDCo and Finance/Commercial Sub-Committee of NEDCo Board. He holds a Master’s of Science in Energy and Sustainable Management, KNUST; Qualifying Certificate of Law, Ghana Bar Association; Bachelor of Law, LLB, University or Ghana; and BSc. CHARLES AKELYIRA ABUGRE Executive Director Mr. Charles A. Abugre is currently the Ag Executive Director of TEPPIA. He has more than 30 years in development policy and practice; as co-founder and as a manager of several development institutions; as projects and programmes manager; public policy researcher, strategist, writer and lecturer. He has worked as a Director at the United Nations for 5 years; senior public servant in Ghana with responsibility for northern Ghana’s development and as member of the National Development Planning Commission; headed the research and policy division of one of the UK’s largest non-governmental organisations; Lecturer and Research fellow in development studies at post-graduate level in the UK and as a summer lecturer in the United States; lived and worked in several countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. He holds various positions and member of professional bodies which include: Vice Chairman, Governing Council, Star Ghana Foundation; member, Board of Directors, ISODEC; member, World Economics Association (WEA); member, International Development Economic Associates (IDEA); member, Advisory Council, Agricultural Policy Research for Africa (APRA)
EVELYN AFISHATA MOHAMMED ABUJAJA Ms. Abujaja is a Senior Lecturer and a Head of Department for Agricultural and Consumer Sciences Education at the University for Development Studies. She holds an MPhil degree in Agricultural Extension from the University of Ghana and is currently a PhD candidate in University for Development Studies. She has contributed to the development of new programmes in the University for Development Studies, mainly in the development of Diploma/Bachelor/MED/MPhil programmes in Agricultural Science Education. She is a representative of the Damongo Diocese on the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province Pastoral Conference (TEPPCON) education Commission. She was once the gender specialist on USAID Feed the Future Project on Innovation Laboratory on Small Scale Irrigation in Ethiopia, Tanzania and Ghana. She was once also involved in WLE-CIAT/UDS/IUCN/ACDEP research project which was targeted at improving livelihoods in the Volta basin landscape through strengthening of farmer led approached to ecosystem-based management. She is also a Member of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) and Ghana Institute of Horticulturalists (GhIH).

Rev. Fr. CLEMENT MWEYANG AAPENGNUO, PhD Rev. Fr. Clement Mweyang Aapengnuo is currently the Executive Director at the Center for Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies (CECOTAPS), Damongo, Northern Ghana. He is the founding Director of the CECOTAPS, founding member and former board chairman of WANEP-Ghana. Since 2000, Rev. Dr. Aapengnuo has intervened in every major conflict in the three regions of northern Ghana. In his 18years of building peace in northern Ghana, he has designed conflict resolution intervention strategies for communities in conflict and carried out several trainings for Traditional chiefs, political leaders, youth and women’s groups in the three regions of northern Ghana. He has consulted for the Catholic Bishop’s Conference, Ghana, UNDP in Ghana, WANEP-Ghana and the Regional and District Administrations in the three northern regions of Ghana on conflict resolution and peacebuilding. He has also designed conflict sensitive interventions and projects for a development agency working in the Niger Delta in Nigeria. Rev. Ms Justina Anglaaere is an experienced development practitioner and gender specialist. With over 20 years of dedicated development practice, she has worked on and managed multi-sector programs and multi-disciplinary teams spanning the areas of gender and development; education; health; water and sanitation; agriculture; governance and social accountability; decentralization; rights based/people centered advocacy; and micro-credit. She is experienced in gender responsive program design, planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, and has expertise in capacity development, process facilitation and advisory services delivery. She has equally carried out a wide range of consultancy assignments such as project evaluations, gender mainstreaming in organisations, needs assessments including gender capacity needs assessment and women leadership training, within consultancy teams for funders including Canadian International Development Agency (now Global Affairs Canada), CEBEMO (now Cordaid) and OXFAM.
JANET CHIGABATIA-ADAMA Janet Chigabatia-Adama is a financial and agribusiness expert: She previously served as the Managing Director for a farmers owned company known as Savannah Farmers Marketing Company, under the Association of Church Development Projects (ACDEP). She is also a peace activist and has served as a member of the Government of Ghana instituted Peace Council, Northern region chapter since 2014. She coordinated a USAID supported programme known as the Northern Agriculture Sector Investments Coordinating Unit (NASICU), which is a collaborative effort of MOFA and SADA(NDA) to promote cooperation, collaboration and harmony amongst donor led agriculture interventions in the Northern sector of the Ghana. Janet is a Catholic and a member of the Tamale OLA Cathedral Christian Mothers Association. She holds MBA (Accounting) from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Cape Coast. She is a member of several Boards including the TAMA Foundation Universal and the Management Committee of the Pastoral Centre, among others.
DAME AGNES A. GANDAA
Ms. Agnes Gandaa is a teacher by profession and a development worker. She taught in Bagabaga Junior High School, Tamale Senior High, and later in Tamale Training College and St. Victor Major Seminary all as an English and literature in English tutor. She currently works as the Coordinator of the Northern Ghana Programmes of the Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC) in Tamale. Agnes Gandaa is a member of a few bodies including: The Northern Network for Development (NNED), Member of Coalition of NGOs in Health, Board member of the Marshallan Relief and Development Services (MAREDES), Member of the Tamale Ecclesiastical Province and Pastoral conference (TEPPCON), Chairperson of the PROMIC Loan Scheme Steering committee and a member of the TEPPCON civic education project design and implementation team. She is also a member of Teachers Professional Guild (TPG).
