TEPPIA engaged delegation from missio Aachen, Germany to finalize funding processes to support selected Catholic TVET institutions in Northern Ghana
The delegation from missio Aachen visited TEPPIA as part of ongoing collaboration to uplift the Textile and Fashion Design Departments in selected Catholic TVET institutions across Northern Ghana. The visiting delegation comprised Gorgels Lara, Finance Officer, and Edelmann Judith‑Mirjam, Programs Officer. Representing TEPPIA were Dr. Charles Abugre, Executive Director; Sir Engr. Joseph Charles Osei, TVET Coordinator; Eva A. Akanchalabey, PhD., Programmes Officer; and Justin Zaagbeb, Finance and Administrative Officer.
The meeting was warm, insightful, and productive. The engagement was centred on missio’s funding guidelines and an assessment of TEPPIA’s institutional capacity to manage and implement the proposed project effectively. Both teams engaged deeply on accountability structures and systems and alignment with missio’s project support framework. TEPPIA also highlighted its existing systems for project planning, financial management, monitoring, and reporting. It was a successful engagement.
The dialogue reinforced a shared commitment to strengthening skills development, improving instructional quality, and enhancing facilities within the Textile and Fashion design programmes in these institutions. Through this partnership, both organisations aim to open new pathways for innovation, employment, and economic empowerment for young people in Northern Ghana.
TEPPIA is looking forward to a strong, productive, and long‑term working relationship with missio Aachen as we continue to collaborate in advancing technical and vocational education in the TEP Zone. Together, we remain committed to shaping a brighter future for the youth we serve.
